What was the trailer telling

The trailer was showing too much but was confusing either. From seeing the whole squad fighting and getting destroyed together to someone with wings. As I said, it was confusing but will be more than that surely. 

As an advice, it is better to watch the final of this anime series rather than reading the manga and getting spoiled by it.
